Oh Mr Sandman why have you abandoned me?

I have big day tomorrow, I'm going to start at my new job. So I just can't sleep.
Mr. Sandman is John Blund in Swedish by the way. The name Cames from the fact that he comes to spread sand in our sleepy eyes and the proof of that he exist is the sand that we can feel in our eyes when we wake up in the morning.
I would like to have some sand in my eyes right now! I know he was here because someone next to me is snoring loudly! Please, Mr Sandman come back!

Short summary of my year

Sorry for not writing for such a long time...

Short summary of my life since I went back to Sweden:

I got a job. I went to Italy. Ate a lot of antipasto. Visit Rome. Drank some wine. Came back. Moved to Gothenburg. Jair started school. I studied way too much. I got a new job. Jair got a job. Jair got a second job. => 2012 is going to be a good year

My life is starting to get normal again. As I said I studied way too much and now I'm tired but as I have been between two jobs I had the luck that I got to be home for two weeks. So since then I have been going to the gym every day (trying to get rid of the Brazilian kilos that I got there... only 4.5 this time though)... And I have finally had time to meet my wonderful friends and especially one that I haven't been seeing for a really long time!

Anyway, I hope that I know will get a normal velocity of my life! And this time I will keep in touch with you my shiny new blog!

Time goes slowly.......

Only six days left in Sweden!

Every time I leave Sweden I make sure to work every day until then, even if I’m leaving on a Sunday or a Monday. I guess that’s my way to deal with my travel fever. I make sure that I have no time to think or getting nervous! Time goes faster when you have too much to do!

This weekend I have worked both Saturday and Sunday so now I have to pack, cut my hair and go shopping for the trip on the evenings instead! But no problem, I'm going to relax on the beach very sooooooon! The salary comes on Tuesday so there is no point to go shopping before then, therefor Monday is packing-day! Thursday and Friday are mum’s days, because Thursday is her birthday and Friday is mum-and-daughter-day as I’m leaving on Saturday. On Tuesday I’m going to cut my hair so after that I only have one hour to go shopping, but Wednesday after work is shopping-day! No worries, there is a lot of time...!?! Time to make a list! Haha!

I feel almost sorry for my mum now! She said that she will never move from us (meaning her kids) but here we go all of us, moving from her! Me and Emil in Brazil and my sister in Lund half a year before she goes to Denmark! But she’s happy for us…!!

First day! - Afternoon desk-workout session!!!

I just came home after my first day on Camfil Power Systems AB i Borås. The day began with sayning hello to 50 different people... 50 different faces = 50 different names = DIFFICULT!

Then, I got my own desk which you can adjust up and down, so you can stand up and work if you want to!! That is just great!! I have my own phone and computer. Additionally they give medical examination, fitness contributions and terminal glasses (for those who may need). There is also free fruits on mondays and wednesdays!!! I think this is just great!!! I know that this is common on companies in Sweden but I have never worked on a company like this before, so I'm so happy!!!!

Also, I don't need to work my ass off to get paid every month. I mean of course I'm going to do my best, but I don't need to work on bank holidays (röda dagar - In Swedish). Not only that, I don't need to work the day before a bank holiday. For example, I don't need to work on the Swedish midsummer (which is not a bank holiday but anyway...) and then I don't need to work the day before midsummer either!!!! Wow, it couldn't be better :D

Today I also learnt som routins in the Design office. Every day, somewhere around 3 o'clock, one of my colleagues has a work-out session for about 5 minutes. I thought they were joking, but no, almost everyone did this and it was actually very nice!!! So REFRESHING and it is ood for your body also!!!

Duracell-rabbit

Busy, busy, busy!! This week has been extremly busy!! I'm working every day for as long as my brain still can think!! But it is just this week... Next week I will start my new job! Great!!

I have been a little bit too busy this week, but I'm managing just fine... I talk to myself a lot, but I don't sleep walk as I used to do before when I was extremly busy. I think of myself like a duracell-rabbit, there is still battery left and I can recharge it in the same way as the battery in the car charges, by drive...

A few things that recharge me is:

1. THE GYM - my hour for myself
2. Listening to music and sing along really loud (even though I'm a terrible singer and I often lose my voice after that...)
3. Pepp-talk to myself "you can do this Emma"

Ida and I had a movie night at my place tonight. But it is very hard to keep watching a movie when you feel like you want to talk, besides the movies didn't seem to be very good.... But we had so much fun talking and planning for the furture! And after seen almost the hole movie "motherhood" - there will be no kids for a while for neither of us!!!

Tomorrow I'm going to work and my boss promised to cook for me (he just to be a chef before he converted to pellets....) and then I'm going to see my sweet bullmamma Caroline and her friend!!

I'm always this busy in Sweden! I would love to Bahia where you never stress... the food takes its time, don't worry, don't stress... talk slowly like in a dream because there is all time in the world for the bahianas!!

Welcome to Camfil Farr - MY job!!!

Yeahhh, Emma finally got a new job!!!

I have been on two job interviews every week in secret and know I can finally tell that I got a new job! I have the contract just in front of me and I'm ready to sign ... one moment... and now it is signed!!!

I am now officially an employee of Camfil Farr!!!! And I'm going to start on Monday the 17th of June, exactly one month before Jair comes here. It is a great job and I'm going to have fantastic colleges (I already know two of them)! I also heard some insider information that there are some people that think that it is very nice that I'm starting there! I'm so exicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just great!!!! It couldn't be better actually!! I thought life was hard before I started the University, but since then I learnt that life is what you make of it and if something is against it is just there to make you fight for it because then you find the life sparcle. Some say that when you hurt yourself, at least you know that you are alive!! That's true!! And I have fought so hard to live this life that I'm living now, since last year everything just got better and better! I wanna stay like this forever, makes me think of something:

"I wanna stand with you on a mountain"

- that's what I hear every morning and I'm thinking; "we are almost there honey!"

"I wanna bathe with you in the sea"

- I alredy than that, but I wanna do it again!

Näst sista dagen på Atlas Copco i Brasilien

Boa tarde! (God dag)


Idag är den stora hemska dagen med intervjun som engelsk lärare o så vitt jag förstår kommer jag att jobba med tonåringar om jag fBoa tarde! (God dag)

Idag är den stora hemska dagen med intervjun som engelsk lärare o så vitt jag förstår kommer jag att jobba med tonåringar om jag får jobbet – yeah!! Det var ju precis den målgruppen jag önskade mig (eller inte)! Jag kan se två scenarier – antingen är dom inte ett dugg intresserad av att lära sig engelska eller så är tonårskillarna helt plötsligt väldigt intresserade av att lära sig engelska... Haha!!

Det blir nog bra, får jag jobbet kommer jag bli jätteglad och jättenervös, men jätteglad...

Jag har precis bestämt mig för att jag ska baka till i morgon eftersom det är min sista dag på Atlas Copco – så det blir det semlor, jag tycker det känns som det är ganska typiskt svenskt trots att det förekommer i några andra länder också. Så efter intervjun kommer jag o Andreza jaga ingredienser. Svårast verkar det va att få tag på kardemumma som jag eventuellt måste köpa på Starbucks. Mandelmassan får jag göra själv!

Idag tog jag bussen för första gången hela vägen till Atlas Copco – bussen går en annan väg o normalt så tar det 30 minuter att åka med bil till Atlas om det inte är nån trafik. Ja, det tog ju sin lilla tid, jag fick stå upp i en buss i en timma – busschauffören körde som en galning så det kändes som mina armar skulle ryckas av varje gång han bromsade. Sen fick jag sitta på en annan buss i två timmar – this is São Paulo! Jag ska skaffa mig en bil om jag stannar här det är iaf säkert! Haha!!

Idag är det jättevarmt o jag tror jag har feber för jag fryser o känner mig klen – kul! Ont i halsen har jag med! Jag har precis gjort upp en plan för kvällen me en av mina vänner. Skit också, men man måste ju tydligen ha dåliga dagar för att uppskatta dom bra...

En rolig grej på jobbet är candyman! Dom flesta killar här i Brasilien väljer en tjej att stöta på o uppvaktar henne med choklad o rosor. Men inte candyman... ;)

Candyman - är en kille som har en stor glasburk med godis på sitt skrivbord som alla får ta av. Jag kan se honom från mitt kontor hela tiden o det är massa söta tjejer (o killar :P) som går o tar godis därifrån o dom måste öppna glasburken också så då tjötar dom en stund, o killen ser alltid lika glad ut när dom kommer. Jag tror killen är smart o har kommit på att tjejer gillar godis och att han kan lära känna några söta tjejer genom att ha godis... smart...!

Jag har fått massa nya kompisar här på Atlas nu dom sista veckorna. Det var en tjej som började prata me mig på toaletten o sa att hon kanske kunde hjälpa mig att skaffa ett jobb här. O lite senare klämde hon ur sig att hon inte hade pratat me mig tidigare eftersom hon var rädd för att prata engelska – o det är exakt vad jag har känt från vissa här. Vissa, speciellt tjejer blir skiträdda när jag säger nåt till dom och får tunghäfta! Jag måste ju vara jättehemsk. O anledningen till att jag inte har tagit kontakt med vissa är för att dom inte verkar prata engelska... o blir så himla rädda.

Men det verkar som att dom flesta börjar vänja sig vid mig nu o vill prata med mig! O det är väldigt många som har försökt o hjälpa mig me både advokat och jobb. Tack så mycket alla underbara brassar! Speciellt får jag säga tack till Thiago, för han är den som har lagt ner mest tid på att hjälpa mig! Jag vet faktiskt inte hur jag ska återgälda honom men jag vet att han gillar choklad...

Förresten så ska jag på en intervju som engelsklärare nästa vecka på tisdag, tjejen som ringde sa att det var bra att jag är svensk – har ingen aning om varför, men jag tackar! Jag vill väl egentligen inte arbeta som lärare, men ibland måste man göra en del saker som man inte gillar för att nå sitt mål. Jag hoppas jag får jobbet!
