Kolla va jag hittade!!! Lite reklam!

Short summary of my year

Sorry for not writing for such a long time...

Short summary of my life since I went back to Sweden:

I got a job. I went to Italy. Ate a lot of antipasto. Visit Rome. Drank some wine. Came back. Moved to Gothenburg. Jair started school. I studied way too much. I got a new job. Jair got a job. Jair got a second job. => 2012 is going to be a good year

My life is starting to get normal again. As I said I studied way too much and now I'm tired but as I have been between two jobs I had the luck that I got to be home for two weeks. So since then I have been going to the gym every day (trying to get rid of the Brazilian kilos that I got there... only 4.5 this time though)... And I have finally had time to meet my wonderful friends and especially one that I haven't been seeing for a really long time!

Anyway, I hope that I know will get a normal velocity of my life! And this time I will keep in touch with you my shiny new blog!

Back in Sweden

Well back in Sweden I managed to get a new job the first day after I arrived in Sweden as a project coordinator! I also bought a new apartment sold mine and moved in to my grandparents house with my fiancé as my apartment won't be available until 5th September. All this went in ultraspeed in less than one month! Can you imagine?

I'm going to continue with my blog but now it will be about my life with my Brazilian boyfriend!

My little brother Jack!

Jairs new surfboard!

Jairs new surfboard, half Swedish flag and half Brazilian flag, so coooool!

Me with our surfboards, the most beautiful in Barra!

I love Jair's new board, in actually felt flattered that he wanted to make half Swedish flag. Now we just have to find a nice place to surf at in Sweden because the boards are coming with us!

GODISSSS!!

Ohh you can’t imagine how much I miss candy, Swedish candy or any candy! Here they have nothing! Absolutely nothing at all! Just colas…. (don’t know if that’s the name for “kola” in English, I’m sure it’s not). Anyway, here is noooooo candy!!! My mum just send one of my books that I use to write down what I learned from my Portuguese classes and it costed 250 kr which is as much as 24 euros or something like that so I can clearly not afford to ask my mum to send some candy too… Poor me!!

My favorite candy in the middle! Sura cola nappar! This one I’m going to buy before I leave the airport in Gothenburg when I arrive there!

Anyway it feels a little better when I saw the new taste of Marabou chocolate, it doesn't feel that tempting anymore, if you know what I mean...
SHIT – The taste you never forget

SWEEEEEDEN!!!!

Ohhh I’m so happy! Jair got his visa and we are finally going back to Sweden! Don’t get me wrong… I really love it here, but I really miss Sweden because of what happened here. I’m also happy because I have felt like our life has been on hold since we met. We haven’t been able to plan anything because we didn’t know when we were going to live in the same country! Now Jair has his visa in Sweden and both of us can work or study and build a life there! I’m so excited!! And even better, Jair’s excited about getting back, he has finally stopped worrying about all the snow and how cold the Swedish sea is!!!
Jair with his Swedish visa!

It was really hard to find a flight ticket for both of us on the same flight. I had to book from two different travel agencies in Sweden; Travelpartner and Doodle. A 24-hours-trip is not that nice to do alone, especially not if you have something to celebrate and the wine is for free! ;) Sweden you better get ready for the crazy couple on the 14th of June!

Lovely cold mosquito-free Sweden

Wow, I really love this weather, it is sooooo nice, please don't go away!!

It is sooooo great it is nice and beautiful, there is no mosquitos and it is like a funny adventure every day to go to work! Some times the car just glide on the ice and when you are walking you can slip like you are walking on a banana-peel. Isn't that nice? Sure it can hurt a little bit on your butt!

And every morning you have to take the snow off your car and when you are done you begin with the ice that is underneath...

Me tired of the winter, ohhhh no!! Haha!!

Wow, I really miss the summer!!! But still I love this in a way too.
But I'm so happy to not have red marks all over my body from the damn mosquitos!!!
NOTE: They love white skin :S

Some nice mosquito memories:

Check in my arm – one of the ”small” mosquito bites…
One of my mum’s feet in Egypt

The mosquitoes bit everywhere they could find some skin. My mum’s feet where the victims this time. She couldn’t even sleep after this and it ended up with her going to the pharmacy to get a shot in her butt, by a creepy guy that was flirting with me…    :S    he even asked me if I didn't want to have a shot too-not cool!!!

"Borta bra, men hemma bäst... eller!?!"

BORÅS, BORÅS, BORÅS (rainy town)

"Borta bra, men hemma bäst... eller!?!"
(Be away good, but at home is best... or not!?!)

Hello!!! Sorry for not writing earlier…

I have really been superbusy!!!

I have now been here in Sweden for two weeks and it is still supercold! I’m really jealous of all Brazilians that have summer right now… but still I have never seen Sweden this beautiful before.

I arrived the 21st of February at the airport in Gothenburg wearing flipflops and a top… My plan was to walk in flipflops to the car and then take socks on afterwards… but WOW that was way too cold!!! I’m very happy that my mum took shoes, socks, a jacket and a really hot sweater with her to the airport!!! What could I do without my mum, she is wonderful!!!

My first day in Sweden I ate sushi with my best friend and I took some pictures of the snow…

The "big" square in my town... covered with snow!

An ice-bear made of ice... very very very expensive!!
Me outside of the shopping center :)

Under all this snow there are actually three cars...!!! My car is not there, but under another hugh pile of snow!! I have to wait until spring before I can dig my car out! Haha!!
Risk for snow or icetaps to hit you in your head, when you walk outside... :S (literally...)
Sweden is a very dangerous place... haha!

It is so much snow here, so people have to take the snow off their roof because it falls in otherwise!!!

What else have I been up to? I have been really busy with seeing my friends and family. I’m also doing something else that I really love, I’m going to my gym everyday! And I’m the coach for my best friend Evelina and that is a full time job… haha ;) just kidding!!

My plan is to be here in Sweden until after Christmas (but I will probably do some smaller trips in Europe during the summer) but after Christmas I will go back to Brazil. So get ready for some adventures in Sweden for a while (I will do my best to do interesting things, even though it is much easier in Brazil).

BRAZIL HERE I COME!!!

11.40 Borås – Sweden

Last hours in Sweden…

Today I’m going back to Brazil. I can’t believe it, I’m so excited!!! I’m going to see all of wonderful Brazilian friends, enjoy the sun, go on a beach hopping trip in Brazil (that’s my plan for summer by the way) and I also have a meeting… It’s always something exciting happening in Emma’s world, if it is not exciting; you can make sure that I will make it exciting!!! Hehe

I haven’t been writing in my blog lately, because I have been working the whole week. It has really been a CRAZY week, in two points of views… Anyway, as I have had a lot to do I also worked at yesterday, on a Saturday!!! That’s good! I’m a designer on a company that develops and manufactures pellets burners, the company is called GreenEnergy. And this week I actually finished two new pellets burners in ONE week! That is really amazing, my boss was really proud!!

Besides from working yesterday I also went out to have a pre-party at the “Crazy Farm” (a name I came up with yesterday). Unfortunately, I couldn’t relive the location of this crazy farm, but besides I don’t think any of you want to go there, haha! It is a really crazy COW there!!

Before I went out my friend also colored my eyelashes and eyebrows, so know I have visual eyebrows without make-up hehe!!! (Ok I’m exaggerated a little bit) Fit for fight for the beach!!

A typical symbol of Sweden
It is a little bit funny, because Germans or just crazy about this symbol! You can buy this symbol to have on your T-shirt, your cup, with your keys, on your glass, EVERYTHING! And all Germans do that! They are so fascinated about this and it is actually necessary to have this in Sweden!

HARD night out

22.34 Borås - Sweden

Oiiiiieee!!!

Yesterday were suppose to be a calm night "in", but became a hard night "out"!!!!

Me and Eve were at my grandparents place and ate some “Lutfisk”, it is a fish that is dry. And then you cook it and it gets very jelly-like. It doesn’t really taste anything but when you put some spices on it, it gets very nice. You eat it usually on Christmas with potato and white sauce. From the beginning this was a way for Swedish people to eat fresh fish in the winter.

I haven’t eaten Lutfisk for a long time so I had forgotten the taste of it, it looks very suspicious but actually taste great. Evelina had never eaten it before but she liked it also. My grandparents also made desert and it was rice with oranges and cream. Ok, I get it – it sounds horrible!! But it is sooooo good!!!

We didn’t want to go out, but then when we were going from my grandparents’ place we put on the radio in the car and there she was… LADY GAGA with pokerface. Who doesn’t get in partymood when you hear her?!?!?!?!? Hahaha

So we were very spontaneous yesterday and went out anyway!!!

We had so much fun, and even do I didn't drink very much... I woke up in my party outfit in my bed next to my lovely friend Evelina. I hadn’t washed of my makeup or anything. And crazy as I am, I’m still walking around in my party outfit!!! Always ready to PARTY!!!! I usually remember everything but not after this night. So Evelina told me, my mum and brother what I did yesterday and I couldn’t help myself, I had to laugh with a lot of water in my mouth!! It ended up with all of the water coming out from my mouth… I had to leave to table to sneeze because it was lemon water – not very nice to have lemon in the nose!!! Haha.

Then Evelina continued the story and this time it was my mother’s turn to laugh with water in her mouth and she had to run from the table, because she couldn’t help herself either!!! So I guess I was funny, and crazy!!! Hahha

Today, besides from sleeping like the whole day we have had what my brother called Plugg-LAN (in English Study-LAN). We have been very neardy hear today, been sitting with three computers and studying today!!! I have a lot of things to do!!! Better get going!!

Now it is only seven days left, Brazil her I come!!!

Welcome to Borås - what YOU don't know about YOURSELF others can tell you

00.21 Borås - Sweden

Welcome to Borås - what YOU don't know about YOURSELF others can tell you!!

Yeap, this is the city I'm from. Everyone knows everything about everyone. They even know more about you than you know. I just want to add here, that I'm not like that at all!! As my "boss" in Brazil said to me: "You're not Swedish, you're not English and you're not Brazilian - you have become something different now". That is soooo true!!

Nothing have happened, so don't be alarmed - I'm just relieving the truth about people from my city. I had almost forgotten about Borås, how people talk... I was suprised to hear so much bullshit.

Example 1:
A girl comes up to another girl saying "ohh my god do you know what your friend's boyfriend did?!"
Girl 1 is answering: "No I don't"
Girl 2: "He flirted with me all summer, he is a true player"
Girl 1 knows that Girl 2 is lying (because she always is, but it didn't matter because they weren't together that summer anyway) so she just tell Girl 2 that they weren't togehter anyway.

Ex-boyfriend got to know about the lie and is answering very suprised:
"Who is that?.... oh, her.... she is my friend's friend.  I felt so bad because the only things I have done to her have been mean. We were out and she came to say hello, but then another person came to say hello so I forgot about her."

Example 2:
Two girls jumps in to a cab with three guys. 5 minutes later this rumor can be heard at the pizza shop at the other side of the town center.

And if you want to know anything about yourself, there are always people that can tell you that!! Isn’t that great!! You don’t need to figure that out by yourself. Maybe I should go and found out who I am… or that would just make me more confused!! Hehe

I can see it snowing, I can see it snowing...

01.23 Borås - Sweden

Oiiiiiiee tudo! (I'm not sure that you actually can say that....)

I can see it snowing, I can see it snowing! Isn't that funny, hurra! That is one of our most famous Swedish snow-songs translated to English. And I'm singing, because it is snowing here tonight!!! Only a little bit and it is probably gone tomorrow anyway.... :(

A part of me are wishing for A LOT of snow and another part is wishing for the snow to go away... FAST, because it is so much work just to get into the car in the morning. The doors on my car (that I'm not driving this season... but anyway...) are always getting stuck when it is cold...if I'm lucky I can open one of the backdoors and then go into the car to kick the door from the inside to get it open!!! Then when I'm finished with this complicated procedure to get into the car... I have to take the snow away from the window to be able to see anything!!

But still, I just love to see everything white like a fairytale when I wake up in the morning! That is a truly a beautiful view!

It is not much.. but it is more than it ever is in Sao Paulo...

The black car in the middle is mine!!!

Good night!!!

Cold, cold, cold, sooooooo cold Sweden

23.26 Borås – Sweden

Oiiiiie!

Back in cold, wonderful, cold, traffic-less, cold, sleeping-for-8-hours-every-night, cold Sweden! I love Sweden but it is sooooooo cold!!!! At least I didn’t need to face snow because it went away last week – but still it is cold!!! When I went home from my gym this night it was 3 degrees outside and when my airplane left Sao Paulo Monday night it was 20 degrees – big difference!!!

Check out what you have to wear here in Winter-land and still my hands were frozen!
I had a pleasant flight to Sweden – I got three seats for only little me (maybe I should be worried about what I might look like in the mirror :P ) I succeeded to go through all the controls both in Brazil and Amsterdam with food and drinks in my hand luggage so I was very happy!! By the way, Amsterdam is a really big airport! I had to walk for first 10 minutes to find a tv-screen and that screen told me that my gate to my connection flight was 24 minutes away!!!! I’m lucky that I had two hours to go there – I really thought it was something seriously wrong with that screen, but I can ensure you that it wasn’t! Wow that was far!!!

Then the first thing I do when I got back to Sweden was to go to my gym, I love my gym!! Rsrs (betyder haha in portuguese)… my friends told me that I’m crazy! Ok maybe I’m… um poco…
Today I did a lot of important stuff that I had to do and then I went to my best friend job to take her out for lunch. It ended up with us having sushi and then she did my nails – ohh they are so beautiful now, my nails that have been so ugly for more than one month!!!
My wonderful dear friend Evelina is making my nails - she didn't want to be on the picture so it is not me being Ego..... haha

Me making "hidden" commercial for my favorite protein drink Gainomax after the gym... - in my winter clothes.... of course

This is my Dad and my little brother Jack - and yes my Dad is walking around with his helmet on all the time ;)

My dad scarying the crap out of my little brother - huh SCARY!!!!
And today I bought some summer clothes, on sale on Internet! Can’t find summer clothes in stores here, it is impossible! I just hope that they will fit!
My phone has been calling all day long, there are a lot of people I have to meet - and a lot of things to do that aren’t that funny… :( - so now I have plans until Saturday! I love to be here - but I also miss Brazil - you know the hot weather - and of course all the wonderful people there!

Brasilien varför?

Hej!

Brasilien here I come!
